Hope everyone going to the World Shoot has a safe trip and lots of success, especially Vera. I say this so that she can have a little payback of gloating all the way home and George havin to put up with it for once. :)
 Whatever happens enjoy your trip!

You have to see this range to believe it.

I imagine most will have already seen these, but for anyone that hasnt, photos are available at http://www.wbc11.com/en/the-range.html

I hear the baffles make it a challenging range for BR. Plus I dont think the bench line is permanent. Hopefully the competitors will give us some better pictures.

Well I made it in about 6PM today. Really don't care to see the inside of an airplane or airport for a while! Anyhow the gang is all here. Dinner with the Canadian team and some liquid bonding. Everybody looking forward to getting going in the morning for a practice day. Pictures and intrepid reporting to follow from Bill Gammon.

Good practice day. Range was calm in the morning, breezy in the afternoon. Tall walls out to 100M will make things interesting. Very humid today.

Busy day today. It was our last practice day, everyone seems pleased with the way their rifles are working. Sorry no pictures today as I left the camera at the range.  It was a really nice day again, about 29C and light winds. Everyone is anxious to get under way. We start at 8am Tuesday morning. Apparently www.WBC11.com will have frequent updates on the scores. Follow the results link at the top of the home page.

Vera Carter owned the men today as she just won the LV 100.  Her agg was a 4.912mm or better known in these parts as .193.

Way to go girl.  Congratulations.

Things got under way in earnest on Tuesday morning with the opening ceremonies followed by the 100M LV. It was another nice day, tep was around 29C most of the day, humidity was high as well. Winds were light but we have taken to calling the range the mixing bowl. So many small currents to keep track of. Vera handled it superbly and gave us all a beating. Today is 100M HV.

That is some AWESOME shooting by Jack. I did a bit of math via online conversion and come up with some interesting info. Jacks agg was a 4.064mm which converts to a .160. Beautiful teen agg.

I went to the World Benchrest Shooting Federation sight to see what the current record is. The current record on the website is a 4.45mm shot in 2007. On line conversion converts that to a .175 agg.

Depending what the Federations rules are for records is it possible we could have a new Federation Record????????

Regardless, the little I know about Jack it couldn't have happened to a nicer guy. A man who is willing to share his thoughts on what strategies have or appear to work for him.
