ORSA - Ontario Rifle Shooters Association / Orsa Shoot May 4-5

Elmira Rod and Gun hosted ORSA's first group shoot of the season. We had 12 shooters in attendance, with  "local legend" Bob Kerr show up on Sat afternoon with a few words of wisdom. The wind wasn't our friend on Sat, and lack of wind on Sunday made it just as bad. It was always nice to visit with everyone after the  winter season!!
Billy "the kid" Mitchell pulled out all the stops and took the 2-gun when it was all said and done.
Have to thank the volunteers for their help this past weekend.
Target crew - Briana Ruppert, Noah Ruppert, Peter Pomerleau, Brandon Rae, Bob Dewar, Alex Rowden, and Jason Ratz

Next ORSA shoot is scheduled for June 1-2.

Here is the latest updated points race, post Elmira and Hog Roast. Fasten your seat belts for the Supershoot! I think we have about 14 shooters on this list going to the SS. Fun starts May 20th.

Club Events / Mission - May 2024 Benchrest Score Shoot

Our January match attracted 9 shooters - Thanks to all who participated. 

Weather was unsettled with a front moving in.  Winds were variable with rapid switches and a bit of rain. 
 
Art won handily, taking the both the 100 yard and the agg in convincing fashion.  Nice shooting in difficult conditions. 

Pete and Vlad organized and ran the targets while Art did the scoring.  Thanks to all who pitched in.   

Next match is the Jim Latham Memorial VFS match on June 2 with targets at 100, 200 and 300.  Hope to see you all there.

BRSC - Benchrest Shooters Canada / BRSC Branded Vests

The BRSC is placing an order for vests that will have the BRSC logo on the left side breast pocket area. These are similar to the red jackets we had made for Team Canada in France. It is the same style and supplier as the jackets, but will obviously have no sleeves, and will be in black.

The actual vest style and description can be found here:  https://www.cbcorporate.com/product/MQO00068/ We will only offer these in black, and the logo is as shown below. There are men's and ladies sizes available. Price will be $55 each, and payable once they are delivered.

Interested parties should email me at rickpollock@shaw.ca to place an order. Indicate sizes and quantities. I will leave the order period open until the end of  May. Once the order is placed I expect to see the vests some time in late June.
