I'd like to purchase a top-of-the-line match-grade barrel for a project. I would like chrome-moly. It would be in 6 mm., with a bull-sporter contour (.700 diameter at the muzzle) and 1-14 twist.
Who in Canada might have this barrel in stock? If no distributor up here in Canada has one, is it possible to order directly from a US maker like Krieger, Shilen, Bartlein, Broughton, etc.?
Any assistance with this would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

There is a very good barrel maker, HW Precision (site sponsor) I do not believe they do CM at this time.
Out of interest what is the your need for for CM.

Another very good barrel maker is in New Brunswick - JC Custom Barrels.
But again, I don't know if he will supply CM barrels.

Purely aesthetics. I don't like the blued receiver/stainless barrel look.

The last CM barrel I ordered was from Benchmark through Gary Eakin at Big Horn Sales. Do you have someone lined up to do the bluing for you? That may be more of challenge than finding a barrel supplier.

I'm surprised to hear that having it blued would present a challenge. Isn't this kind of Gunsmithing 101?
BTW, I'm now vacillating between C-M and stainless. I've discovered that there is a far greater supply of SS than C-M, and, as a result, I may decide to go that route. If I do, I'll have the whole rig cerakoted to avoid the blued/stainless look, which I really dislike.

Yeah that's how I felt when I went down that path. Seems that fewer and fewer gunsmiths want to deal with the bluing tanks and chemicals required. If I did it again I would do exactly what you suggested - cerakote.

For one of the best shooting barrels in Western Canada, get hold of Mike at KS Arms in Edmonton. Quality is exceptional and service very good. They have anything you need.
