Doug Seib just called to inform everyone that there will be a Group Shoot in Regina on June 26, 27. This will be a BRSC sanctioned event. These Regina shoots are always a pleasure. Concrete benches, reloading shack, level grass covered range etc. Camping available. Not to be missed! Looking forward to seeing everyone there!

Well I'll be damn.......................................d.
Looks like a trip to the GAP is in order.....................
Way to go MAX......... I knew you would come through............... ;) ;)
Calvin
-
Does this mean we can look forward to seeing you in some new pajamas for 2010? :o
-
Never can tell.......
-
Just wondering who is making the trek???????????
Besides myself???? I would HATE to have Doug and Max be the only ones to KICK MY BUT.
Time for revenge on Doug.......... ;D ;D ;D
-
okay fellows I just got off of the phone with Max. It would be appreciated if they had some idea of who is planning to attend the shoot.
It is tough to organize or know if it is worth holding the shoot if they have no idea if anyone is coming.
From what I know there is:
Wayne, Jeff, Rick, Myself, Doug and Max and a few possibles? I am sure if we have 4 or 5 more it will be a go.
It is getting late but I feel it is only fair to them.
-
Calvin,
I will not be able to make it, but I have talked to Doug already.
DanO
-
Heard that you could not make it and have decided to put your dancing shoes on. Well next time.
From what I have heard there should be 10 shooters for sure and a few that may just surprise us.

Looks like Mother Nature is going to mess with us some more! As if squirrely winds aren't enough...
Those of us coming from Calgary need ideas for bypassing the washed out sections of the Trans Canada East of Medicine Hat. There are precious few roads to choose from, and the proposed detour is about an extra 400 - 500 kms!
You guys in Southern Sask or veterans of this trip, can I not take HWY 41 (North) just past Medicine Hat, then cut East towards Hatton, then on to HWY 21 South, and back on the Trans Canada 1 just past Maple Creek?
I am not going to make a 400-500 km detour! There must be a shorter way!
Need to know by Thursday!
Rick
-
Rick, call Wayne he may have an idea for you... He lives in that part of the country. Even Cary Stricker may be able to help
-
I have an e-mail from Wayne, he thinks my detour will work.
-
Does any-body have a Harrell`s sizing die I could possibly buy or use at the Regina match perferably a #3 or #3.5
Thx,
Lyle
-
Lyle I have a 1.5 sitting around. I went to a 2.5.
I also have a Redding Bushing bump die sitting around. It is pretty aggressive in the web area. I can bring it if in a pinch.
Calvin
-
Don't know if this will help. A .41 pistol die is perfect for a PPC as far as the web concerned but it is aggressive. I carry one all the time.
-
Lyle I have a #3 in my press. You are welcome to try it. Just drop your bushing of choice in and see if it works for you. My spare is a #2 die, but it doesn't sound like that will help.

Now is the time to see Oyen!! Passing through, you can shoot Gophers! Drive over Hussar, pick up 570 at Dorothy, take 570 to Oyen, go east highway 9, through kindersley, at rosetown, south on 4, and then east on 15, , meet up with 11, and go to Regina. Done this one, it works.
-
Adriaan, I looked at that route as well. It is the backup route if the RCMP won't let me use the roads East from HWY 41. Probably have to use the truck against the gophers, as I won't be stopping!

Sorry I am slow to get results out but we are having a blast out here.
Anyways here they are. This morning winds were light for the first 2-3 then they began to pick up. We had 14 shooters. Ran 2 relays.

Well another great shoot came to an INTERESTING end. WOW TALK ABOUT WIND. I bet gusts had to have hit 25 MPH or MORE. Probes were pegged on occasion and I feel the guys with probes had a slight advantage. Hard to tell how hard the wind is blowing when tails are laid flat out.
John all I can say is I went from a HERO to a ZERO this morning. I was in 1st place going into the last target and I hate to say it but I GOT STUNG BIG TIME. 1.576" group. Ouch. It dropped me down to NINTH....... :'( :'(. I have no idea what happened but with the wind the way it was ANYTHING was possible.
Anyways todays results are:

This was James first match ever and man can he shoot. I think he is going to be a force to be reckoned with. If conditions were not the way they were he may have OUTRIGHT SPANKED US. I think he may have a good reason. Ted has been helping him out and working with him. Ted was no slouch either, he grabbed his fair share of the hardware. It was great to meet the guys who shot years ago and decided to give it another crack.
I have a winners photo so will get that up tommorrow sometimes.

Hey Calvin is that new hair do so the wasps have a better chance or does it make you faster on your feet?
-
I pulled it all out after I blew my last target in the LV 200.........
-
Thanks for the information Calvin, for the kind words as well. Truth be told, when the wind picked up in the after noon, it was me who got spanked. I would like to thank Doug, Maxine and his boys for putting on the Regina shoot. Finely to all the shooters for all there help and encouragement, it made my first shoot one I will always remember.
