Ok we completed the cannonball by leaving at 4 am on thursday and getting to the range Friday at noon. Looks like a great turnout. 4 maybe 5 relays. Around 160 shooters. Shot the rails today and will probably get the bag guns out tomorrow. Been up about 40 hours. Calling it a day.

You guys are hard core.

Saturday practice is over. Quite windy, with rain later in the afternoon. Great to see all the legends in one place.

Great shooting guys, now for the looong drive home.
-
What a great week at Holton. It was nice to meet up with familiar faces, and see and meet new ones. If you have never been to a big shoot like this it is something to see and be a part of. Despite my struggles all week it was great to see my travelling partners do well. Rick getting a top 20 patch in the 3 gun and narrowly missing out by finishing 21 in the 4 gun. Ricks rifle was on fire. Or maybe it is the magic bullets he came across. Hugh what a group, .035 submitted for a potential NBRSA record. To see so many small groups shot in the switchy winds and mirage was a sight to see and most of all being there when Gene Bukys was on fire shooting zero after zero.
Glad to be home after driving all night but I can say I almost wish I was just heading out for the start of it all over.
Finally to put faces to the many Canadian names I have heard about and never met and to Vicky for organizing the rib supper for us. Sorry we never made it over to the trailer for left overs.
Take care everyone and hope to see you sooner than later.
-
We cannonballed it back home leaving just after the match, drove 32 hrs with Cal and Hugh doing most of the driving and my trying to keep myself and them awake. Got home Sunday 10 pm. It was a great trip. Need to unpack. I will echo what Cal says, these big shoots are well worth the extra effort to get there. To see all the living legends together is really something special. Just look at the roster of names there and it is a special place for sure.
Pretty cool to finally meet all the Canadians out east. That alone made the trip worthwhile and I look forward to shooting with our fellow Canucks as soon as possible.

Every year at the NBRSA Nationals there is a 4 man team shoot based upon the HV Grand results. This year Hugh, Rick, Rob and Cal formed the Killer Bees as our team. We placed seventh.

Well done Northern Invasion! Wish I had the results for the team shoot, I have been looking around to see if anyone does.

How about sending Nancy Scarbrough an e-mail. I didn't see any results, just the announcements at the awards
