Way to go Mike , you are going to be a force to reckon with for a long time. Keep up the good shooting.

Rick  , do you have any equipment lists ?

2-Gun pdf above, now includes equipment list. A couple of additions to the equipment list have been made.

The 2010 Nationals are in the bag! Notable performances turned in by Mike Darlow who was the 2-Gun Winner and the BRSC National Champion in only his second year of registered competition! We should also take note that James Garchinski was second in the 2-Gun in his second registered match! Chris Ross of Idaho came in 3rd in the 2-Gun.

Several screamers were shot, Jeff Wardlow shot a .046", Doug Seib Shot a .060" and Chris Ross shot a .095".

Here are the results:
LV Grand
HV Grand
LV 100
HV 100
LV 200
HV 200
2-Gun

Prairie Provincial Cup winning team from Saskatchewan: Ted Gaillard, James Garchinski, Doug Seib

Top 5 in the 2-Gun (L-R)
Phil Nick (4th), Chris Ross (3rd), Mike Darlow (1st), Dan Opel (5th), James Garchinski (2nd)

Lastly we have to thanks everyone who makes these events possible, in no particular order:
Paul Ross, Tony Gauthier, the target crew, the ladies who prepared the BBQ, and of course our sponsors!

I'll make a note here, as I am setting up the scoring program. I'll put you in both classes. Tony will see this as well.

Adriaan,

LV is for rifles 10.5 lbs and under, HV is for rifles 13.5lbs and under. You can use an LV in HV if you like, which is very common. Pretty much what most of the shooters do that have only LV's, like me for example.

One other thing, you can shoot an LV in Unlimited and in Sporter (essentially LV rifles, 6mm and fatter). This covers all the group shooting classes with one rifle.

Stationary backer is used to detect crossfires unless I am mistaken.

You won't be able to discern the number of shots fired using a stationary backer. It can be a challenge at 200 yds to count shots on the record target, so we often refer to the moving backer, I can't see a stationary backer at 100 yds telling you anything the target didn't. Also unless you use target paper as a stationary backer, most other papers rip too much, and let shots through the rips undetected.

My .02 but a simple moving backer for 5-10 benches won't take that much more effort than creating a stationary backer system.

Good day today. Notable feats: Wayne Miller turned a nice round .087", Tony Gauthier won the LV 100 and Dan Opel won the HV 100. Weather was nice in the morning, but turned cool and rainy in the afternoon. Full details and pictures to follow tomorrow's activities.

Mike,

Cochrane is your best bet for hotels closest to the range. There is a Sandman, Days Inn, and a Super 8 there.
You can camp at the range. No hookups at all.
I will be there Friday mid day. People who want to practice or camp should let me know so we can let them in.
Bring bug spray and sunscreen. Also bring food and drinks. No lunches provided at this match.

Adriaan, I looked at that route as well. It is the backup route if the RCMP won't let me use the roads East from HWY 41. Probably have to use the truck against the gophers, as I won't be stopping!

Lyle I have a #3 in my press. You are welcome to try it. Just drop your bushing of choice in and see if it works for you. My spare is a #2 die, but it doesn't sound like that will help.
