The last kick at the cat for me to try and redeem myself from a terrible year of shooting.

Going with a fresh start and open mind.

Tossed the last barrel and brass in the drink.  Feels good to do that.  May even spread some of my powder on the grass for fertilizer.......

New barrel, brass, bullets, and powder.  A wad of American funds, cheap American fuel, and cheap alcohol and I am set.

Lets try and salvage something.  Last night when driving home I saw the biggest and brightest falling star.  Made my wish.......

Safe travels to my Canadian comrades and see you in Wright City.......

Well I am halfway there.  Was up at 4:20 this AM to make a 8AM union meeting in WPG.  After lunch and a few pit stop I was on my south on Hwy 75 which turns into I-29 in ND.  Weather was good and the price of fuel even better.

I am spending the night in Sioux Falls SD and fuel is 2.19 a gallon.  Doing the math and at 35 cents on the dollar it works out to 3.55 a Cdn gallon.  We are paying in Brandon 1.03 per liter which works out to 4.55 a Imperial Gallon.  Still a buck cheaper.

Hope to be on the road again by 6AM which should get me to the range approx 2-2:30.

Here and in once piece.  Great to see the gang again.

Shared a few Molson Canadian and the weather is not bad either......

I thought 2.19 a gallon was cheap... how about 1.99 in some spots in in Missouri.....

Happy Happy Happy

Another hot and windy day. All I have is the Sporter 100 results, the LV100 results weren't posted by the time we left.

Some fantastic shooting this morning in really tough conditions. Top Canuck was Hugh.

It was a fun afternoon of shooting.  I think I finally know what it is like to own a rifle that can shoot thru a condition.  I was in third going into the last target.  I thought I had a small .1 but never noticed the leaker  out the side.  That shot dropped me down.  It was a nail biter until the end.  Was close to that HOF point.

Great shooting Cal! Hugh is doing pretty good as well. George and Vera are setting up well for the 200 except for one target of George's. What happened?
Rick is hanging out in the top 25% in the grand agg! Congrats to Vera in the heavy!

Thanks Phil.  It was a shoot that I should never forget.  More so that it was done with a rifle I had not shot in a year.  Have a bit of work done to it, new stock and a few new barrels.  I broke it in with 5 shots, load developed and decided to shoot the match with it.  I have never had a rifle that did not toss those unexplained shots.  Many times I held for the wind and I did not have to.  It would have gone into the group.  Now I know what it feels like.  It may just be the barrel but I will cherish the moment.

The fastest 2 weeks off I have ever experienced.

To be so close to a Hall of Fame point or 2 is still mind boggling.

Cal had a great Nationals in Phoenix. Collected quite a bit of loot along the way.

Small group, 3 Top Twenty Patches, 3 screamers, well done Cal!
