Title: Looking for
Post by: cyanchycki on December 25, 2009, 08:02:32 AM
Does any of you shoooters who shoot with a SEB know if anyone makes the replacement screws for the top with the springs?  Does Seb have them or make them?  I NEVER have luck trying to contact Ernie Bishop.

I know where I can get a couple but I need 2 more.  If that is the case I should just get a set of 4 if I can.

Calvin,
Are you talking about the tension screws?

Yes.  They supposedly work better when the temp changes outside as there is that constant pressure on the plate inside.

I have played around adjusting it to get it right.  When the temp goes up I hear it gets a bit loose.  I think just adjusting a couple of the screws on 1 side would be enough to get it back in shape if it happens but if I can avoid it I will.

So thus wanting the screws.

I sent a cheque to Ernie for 6 screws.

Possibly my e-mails were cyber lost or possibly SPAMMED.

Regardless screws on the way.

You are not the only person having a hard time with ordering from Ernie Bishop. I tried to order a SEB adjustable bullet holder for my SEB last August and didn't receive a reply for 2 months. I finally got it in late November. Had to keep pushing and sending e mails to finally get a reply. The sad part of it is that Seb himself is simply ammazing when replying to e mails and shipping out stuff to us. But when it comes to ordering small parts etc. we have no choice financially but to order the smaller items from Ernie.
