To all interested parties,
Please consider this an invitation to qualify for the 2025 World Benchrest Team. Canada will be sending 3 teams of 4 shooters on each team. A total of 12 shooters will attend. As of now I will start collecting the names of anyone who wants to get on the qualifying roster for 2025. Cutoff will be Feb 29, 2024 to indicate your interest. If interested send me an email indicating your desire to join the qualifying process. It doesn?t cost anything and there is no harm if you change your mind later about qualifying. rickpollock@shaw.ca

Team Canada used First Choice Bore Solvent from Plenty O Patches, as did Team USA throughout the tournament. A great solvent made right here in Canada. Now that the Americans are using it, I expect Dean will be ramping up production!

We also used HWP barrels, another great made in Canada product.

March Scopes Canada is a terrific supporter of Team Canada and we are pleased to use their March 48X High Master on our rifles.

Here is a snapshot of the Team Canada jersey for WBC16 in France. Teams will begin to assemble in Chateauroux in the coming days. Looking forward to seeing everyone there!

There have been a number of requests for information about this match. So here you go:

This is a World Benchrest Shooting Federation (WBSF) sanctioned event: http://www.worldbenchrest.com/

The match is being hosted by the French Shooting Federation (FFTIR) https://www.fftir.org/

The actual range (CNTS) is here: https://cnts.fftir.org/ This is in very close proximity to the town of Chateauroux. About a 3 hr bus ride south of Paris.

For interest there are videos of the European Championships held at this range in 2022:  https://www.fftir.org/competitions/@reportage/cde-bench-rest-cnts-2022-photos-et-reportage/

I think the best place to see results will be here:  https://www.fftir.org/competitions/@reportage/cdm-wbsf-bench-rest-informations-pratiques/

A number of Facebook pages will likely have results posted as well if you want to look them up:
Benchrest Shooting and Gunsmithing (No Gun Sales Allowed)
WBC 16, France 2023
WBC XVI TEAM CANADA

Practice days are Sept 22-24, the match days run Sept 26-30. Attached below.

Feel free to add links to this post as you find results posted online.

About This Forum / New Rules for Posting Items For Sale
« on: September 13, 2023, 09:20:36 AM »
After about 14 years of running this forum someone has taken advantage of the good will around here. From now on anybody wishing to post items for sale that I don't personally know, or has just joined the forum, or has no other posts will be required to contact me through the forum or at rickpollock@shaw.ca to gain permission to list items for sale. Sad to say but this is the era we now live in.

What a great turnout for the Provincials at Rosebud! We had 17 shooters attend, including Frank O who joined us all the way from the Yukon. It should also be noted Frank had a number of cans of whoop ass in his luggage, which he opened up while he was here! In the 2-Gun it was Hugh W, then Frank O,  then Rob S. Great time had by all and we look forward to seeing everyone again in 2024. Details attached.
