Well it is certainly getting a lot harder to break records in the BRSC, but I am pleased to announce that Wayne Miller managed to shoot a .058" 5-shot group at 100 yards in the Unlimited Class back on June 11, 2022 at the Rosebud Heavy Iron Shoot. Kudos to Wayne on a job well done.

Updated 2022 record book is attached.

 Up to 70 maybe even 75 in a 13.5 twist. Beyond that you go in to uncharted waters. Only way to know will be to try it.

Kelly, the trigger won't be affected. Dry firing a few times is no issue on the firing pin, hundreds of dry firings I would get snap caps that are designed for repeated firing pin impacts. I think Sinclair/Brownells had some brass ones with a little spring loaded impact area.

Shooters, the final results have been tabulated for the Canadians looking to qualify to go to the World Championships Sept 23-30, 2023 in France. See screenshot below for details and qualifying rank. Congratulations to everyone involved. It is not an easy task to go to a bunch of tournaments and try your best, and incur all that time away, and costs. I can see we have some very strong Canadian BR shooters involved, and they will certainly give the other countries a challenge over the course of the shoot for the highest levels of the podium.

The 2022 BR season at Rosebud is in the bag. I am pleased to say a good time was had by all attending the BRSC Alberta Provincials. It was a terrific turnout with numerous out of town shooters attending. The match results are attached, an equipment list will follow.
 
The weather was some of the best we have ever seen at Rosebud and the shooters took full advantage of it.
 
Many thanks go out to all the helpers and volunteers, we couldnt do it without them.
 
Keep an eye out for the 2023 schedule, I typically post it in early January on the Benchrest.ca  and elsewhere.
 
Hope to see everyone in 2023!

Thanks Rick. I had thoughts of trying to get there for the weekend, however I've been tasked with cooking a 15lb pork shoulder for a big family dinner on Sunday. 20 hour cook will have me tied up for 2 days unfortunately!

Hopefully next year, but until then I will certainly have my share of questions.

In this case we will need your address for the dinner.....

BRSC - Benchrest Shooters Canada / Alberta Provincials - Rosebud Sept 10,11

Reminder to everyone our last BRSC sanctioned shoot at Rosebud in 2022, will be the Alberta Provincials on Sept 10-11. We will shoot LV 100 Saturday morning and HV 100 Saturday afternoon. We will rotate benches Saturday at the end of the day, then shoot HV 200 Sunday morning and LV 200 Sunday afternoon.

Those planning to camp at the range, or those needing access on the Friday practice day need to contact me to make arrangements.

If you haven't already spoken to me, please let me know if you are planning to come so we can be sure to have the correct amount of helpers.
