Which end are you adding to, from the pictures it looks like both but kind of hard to tell. A 25 bench range would be big enough to hold a large shoot! Looking good!

Congratulations Vera on the 2 gun!!

Alex was a great competitor and was an avid hunter. I first remember him when I went coyote hunting up in Proton township and meeting him. Everyone said that he was a top competitor in rifle shooting and several years later I ran into him at a benchrest match and found out how good he was. I did not recognize him at first without all the winter gear on, but when he started talking and his sense of humor came out I immediately knew who he was. He was a shooting buddy of Claytons for many years and drove him to many matches around the country to compete as well as the USA. It is heartbreaking to see these 2 guys leave us all in 1 year.
I do remember him telling us about taking an old Br barrel and installing it on a Remington rifle chambered in 6mm Rem and smoking crows with 70 grain Ballistic tips at 200 yds. I always wanted to try it but never did. Maybe it is time to have one built and call it the Calder rifle.

This would make a very good factory class rifle. Get the highest quality 36 or higher power scope that you can afford.
Check with Rick or the other guys in Alberta as to where they might have shoots for factory class rifles. There usually are not to many competitors as most move into full benchrest guns within a years time.
 Welcome to the site.

Merry Christmas everyone!

Congratulations Rick, jobs like these are usually thankless and take a bit of thick skin at times, but also can be rewarding in finding new friends and a better understanding of what it takes to be in these positions. I hope it goes well for you and that you also have a prosperous year in Benchrest.
Dave, I am not sure when I will see you next but I will say thanks for all you have done in the past several years.

Hi Ian,
Can you give us a little info on the firearms regs for those interested in going to NZ in 2017. A little description of the surrounding area and sights?

Calvin, if you qualify for the Worlds, then in 2015 you forget the nationals and if you don't qualify for the World then you shoot the nationals. Like you said here is your opportunity, are you going to try or regret not trying. :)
