The system will favor those who shoot at bigger US matches, and maybe it should. I don't know. As interest increases in BR in Canada there will be more competition for WBC positions. That, I feel is a good thing. This ranking system will create a more serious and competitive environment for those interested in competing at the world level. I like it. I hope there will be enough interest in representing our country in world competition that we need to use it.
For me personally it won't change anything. It seems I like to go to shoots where I will likely get my ass handed to me. That's the only way I learn. To see what others are doing right and keep trying.
The only down side is the fact that people unable to travel to big matches may be at a disadvantage when it comes time to add up the points. But no system is perfect. The USA shooters complain about their selection system too. Over all I think its a move in the right direction.

I thought this was initiated by the WBSF to apply to all countries. I missunderstood. This is a directive by Canada for Canadian shooters. Makes sense to me.
So any NBRSA, IBS, BRSC etc match or is sanctioning body needed? Can any combination of grand aggs be used or must for example an LV and HV agg from the same match be used.

Below is the copied motion for the selection of individuals for WBC competition.

I understand that this would only be used when the space for competitors is less than the number interested. My question is this. Is there still a limit on the number of competitors one country can have? If not it looks like one country could flood the WBC with say 50 or 100 applicants that may have been able to shoot Grand aggs , in the USA for instance with 100-200 enterants , finish mid pac and have say 300 points and apply to the WBC for a postion. Would this person be competing against another individual from a country where BR is less popular and shoot aggs against 10 to 20 shooters win very agg and end up with a max of 120 points?
I suppose that the WBC is trying to qualify the highest quality of shooter but I can see the potential for some problems. Do the member countries that participate in the WBC have to sanction the individual shooters that apply and if so is it not up the that country to field its best competitors?
I am sure the motion is incomplete in the explanation and the Canadian shooters who attended the meeting can fill in the blanks.

Just over 1 month away. I hope our teams have all equipment decisions made and are confirming everything is ready to go for competition. Is the Rosebud range open for the Western team to practice? All the best to our Team Canada members.

Thanks Guys.

This was a big win for me.
I have always been frustrated shooting Tacoma. It is a very deceptive range. Six years shooting there and I always left scratching my head. Dan made it alot easier by hauling all my stuff and it always helps to have some one to bounce ideas off of. I shot LT32 and didn't need to change the load much at all.
The weather was great all weekend and it was good to catch up with everyone in Tacoma. A great group to shoot with. I recommend anyone considering traveling to shoot to get down to Tacoma.

The Range is 10 min west of the city.  The city is easy to get around and motels and resturants are about 15 min from the range. This is a city owned range and has a police training range and other public shooting ranges at the same complex. The range in the pics is bench rest only and has 30 benches but is capable of expanding to 60 benches. It would be a nice place for Nationals or Worlds. Indoor Air conditioned reloading has spoiled me.
I flu from Edmonton to Denver and then on to Albuquerque. I would consider flying to Pheonix and driving the 5 hours next time.

This year I decided to try to make one or two matches at ranges that I had never shot. I was in Billings in June and just got back from New Mexico. The first thing I would say the Rio Grand range is the finest BR shooting facility I have ever shot at. The match was very well run with no glitches. Todd Tyler, Ed Adams and Jack Snyder put on a fantastic match.

AIR CONDITIONED reloading building close to the line but nice and quiet while the line is shooting.

The firing line is well covered , the benches are 10 ft plus apart the range is flat with no berms.

The weather was perfect. 80s-90s 20% RH. Windy as would be expected but not switchy.. I picked up some Canadian AA 2015 lot3 and Benchmark at the local Sportsman Warehouse. I never got a good handle on the 2015 as the first agg showed  and switched to Benchmark. Things got better but wasn't able to keep up with the big boys.. Stats are on BRCentral if you are interested. I shot behind Charles Huckeba. I had not met him before. He was great to shoot with and I learned alot about his tuner use. A real gentleman and one of the the BR greats.
I highly recommend this shoot. The people are great the facility is the very best and I plan to be back.

Good info. This helps alot of people make decisions on different combinations without having to buy and try every combination.

Looking forward to a range report. Do you know how much free bore your reamer has? How does the seating depth compare to a Barts Ultra?

The Pumpkin is beautiful tool, quick to set up and very nice to use. There are others that do and equal job but may take more time to set up. I don't know what a Pumpkin runs nowadays.

I started out with .263 Nk ppc. When I bought my own reamer I decided on a .269Nk. .269 completely cleans up on Lapua brass over the last 6 years of lots I have used. I don't believe there is an accuracy advantage one over the other. I like the one pass turning.
