The Mission club has allowed us to extend our regular Spring Group Shoot to a 2 day affair!

This will be a "standard" group shoot format, LV/HV at 100 and 200 yards.

You must be a BRSC member to participate, and guns must follow the BRSC/NBRSA rules for Light and Heavy Varmint.

Please contact Mark DuMont (markdumont750@gmail.com) or Joe Mendham (joemendham@hotmail.com) to reserve your space or with any questions.

Hope to see you all there!

16 shooters showed up to shoot our spring match in its expanded 2-day format.  They were greeted by very changeable weather - Cool for practice day, hot for day 1 and moderate for day 2.  Fortunately the forecast rain held off!

We had shooters from 2 provinces and one territory in addition to the local contingent and those who made the sea cruise from the Island.

Special thanks to our scorer Brendan and to Mario and James who ran the Targets and the backers.

Joe and Art called the line and kept things running smoothly.

Finally, thanks to all the shooters who pitched in to make the event a success.  It was always easy to find someone to lend a hand.

A special callout to Nobby Uno, a local benchrest legend who grabbed fourth place in the 2 Gun at the age of 88.  May we all shoot so well for so long!

And the results:

Thanks to the Mission & District Rod & Gun Club for hosting the Spring Tuneup match this weekend. Special thanks go the the helpers and volunteers that make it happen, such as Mark Dumont, Joe Mendham, Allan Mantler, among others. A notable performance by Mark Dumont was turned in, whereby he was the overall winner of the match this weekend. Mark is a member of the Mission Club and will be competing in France this September as part of Team Canada. I too would like to note how great it was to see Nobby Uno, as Nobby built my first BR rifle probably 30 years ago!

L-R: Tyler Edmunds, Nobby Uno, Brent Meyer, Vic Edmunds, Don Ells, Allan Mantler, Mark Dumont, Rick Pollock, Art Harder, Tony Jansma

Kelly N.:
Thanks for the write up, some good shooting and what I'm sure was a good time.

That's a nice looking range.
