On Sunday, January 18, 2026, SABRA members completed a successful trial of the Shot Marker system at 100 yards, and the results were excellent. With the remaining three target boards nearly finished, we are close to having 16 fully operational targets ready for upcoming events.  The trial helped us confirm the system?s strengths and identify a few areas for fine-tuning.  Were very pleased with the progress and excited to continue developing this project.  Our goal is to shoot out of the Taber Shooting Centre.  We welcome donations, advice, and feedback from the shooting community as we move forward.  If you would like to support this project, donations can be sent to treasurer.sabra@gmail.com
Thank you for being part of SABRA?s continued growth and success.

Club Events / Mission - February 2026 Benchrest Score Shoot
« Last post by mdumont on February 07, 2026, 05:18:37 PM »
Seven shooters gathered to shoot Score for our second match of the year.  Conditions were rainy at 100 yards, but with very little wind.  At 200, the rain began in earnest, but winds dropped to almost nothing.

It was Denis' time to shine, taking the 100 and 200 yards as well as (obviously) the Grand.  His 106 target at 200 was very impressive!

Pete prepped the targets while Art, Vlad and Don took care of running them.  Art called the match and did the scoring.  Thanks also to all who pitched in to help!

Our next match falls on March 7, and we'll shoot Group as a prep for our BRSC Registered Spring Tuneup match in April.

How much does it weigh?  Curious about the "yellowjacket" stock, couldn't locate anything on them on line, can you help with that?  What sort of fitment is used to the Rempel bipod, is it a picatinny rail or arca or what's the set up there?  What barrel twist rate and is there anything special with the chamber dimension (tight chamber, tight necked, short or long sort of throating etc)?

Regards the other front rest I commented on, just was wondering if the joystick top you have on it was perhaps a "Shadetree" top and how well it worked for you?

Thks, Gord
