What’s your budget?

A used Anschutz, 40x, Win 52 is a good start.

I agree a 54 action Anschutz,  a 40x if you can find one or a 52 are good choices.

Don't skimp on optics either. A weaver t36 or Sightron 36x is a good starting point.

Might be hard to find but a Rem 540xr would be a good find

Mission and District Rod and Gun Club has been shooting BR50 for a number of years.
Two classes . . . Benchrest (Unlimited) and Sporter (gopher gun) shot from a bipod and scopes are unlimited.
We have developed our own target which can be shared in order to have a Canadian content.
A set of rules are being developed which are not as onerous as the ARA.
A member of a neighboring club has participated and during the summer a contingent from Vancouver Island participated.
The variety of rifles used are:  Anschutz, BSA, Turbo, Remington, Walther and a 2500X.
