Mission - Jim Latham Memorial Score Match - Sunday, June 2, 2024

The course of fire will be 20 Score rounds at each of 100, 200 and 300 yards.  Bring 80 rounds or so if you preload.  Awards to third place at each yardage and the Jim Latham Perpetual Trophy to the winner of the Grand Agg.  Your chance for fame and glory!  We will shoot the 300 yard match first to allow for shot spotting in summer conditions,

This match has very few equipment rules - No muzzle brakes and no rail guns.  F-Open rifles are more than welcome!  Jim was always a fan of cross pollination in the shooting sports...

Safety meeting at 8:45, Match begins at 9:00 am sharp and we should be done by 4:00 pm or so.

$40 entry fee - Clubhouse cafeteria is NOT open, so please bring your lunch!

After a bunch of last minute cancellations we ended up with 8 shooters for the match, but that included 4 previous winners of the Latham Cup.  Conditions were forecast as quite rainy, but we finished the match in relatively mild conditions before the serious rain set in. 

Special thanks to Richard Nicol, our guest from the south who has become a welcome regular at this match.

Thanks also to Allan who could not shoot because of vision troubles but showed up to run errands, call the line and collect our money!

Thanks also to Vlad and Art who ran the targets and to Art (again) for the scoring.   

Congrats to Art, who took the win for the second straight year.   

Winners at the various yardages were:
100 - Art Harder 1st, Richard Nicol 2nd, Joe Mendham 3rd.  (Tie broken between 2nd and 3rd.)
200 - Pete Talas 1st, Denis Lapierre 2nd, Joe Mendham 3rd. (Tie broken between 1st and 2nd, and between 3rd and 4th.)   
300 - Denis Lapierre 1st, Joe Mendham 2nd, Pete Talas 3rd. (Tie broken between 2nd and 3rd.)

The number of ties shows how close the scores were!
