ATF Form 6
« on: March 24, 2014, 05:04:39 PM »
Just read on another forum Accurate Shooter that ATF are taking 3 months to process your form 6 request. Has anyone any information as to the truth or false hood of this.

Haven't run into that. I think everyone at the cactus had them done in 3-4 weeks.

Mine was right around the 1 month tome frame.  I mail mine in because I hate the extra loss in quality from faxing to them and getting the return fax.  I have never had any issue getting my form 6.

I faxed mine in and it was faxed back and e-mailed back within two weeks.  Has been that quick every year.

I sent mine in Jan 2/14. I called early Feb and again early March and was told it still hadn't been processed. When I returned home April 15th, I called again and was told mine was one of several that was "lost". After emailing my form in, it was returned, approved, within 10 mins. The ATF did inform me that the average wait was now 2 months. Mine took 4 months. That's two years in a row I've had to chase it down.
