BRSC - Benchrest Shooters Canada / Notice of 2026 BRSC AGM

The BRSC is holding the 2026 AGM at the Selkirk Game & Fish Association on Friday September 3 at 1:00 PM. This is typically the day before the National Championships, and this year will be no different. This will take place in the Clubhouse. Please see attached agenda.

Note that Paul Ross is stepping down from the Scoring Committee and as Records Chair. Mark Dumont has also stepped down from the Records Committee. We need 2 nominees for these positions. Please contact with your nominees.

Well after getting rained out last week back at it this week. Gene takes a strangle hold of the unlimited class with another strong outing in the wind followed by steady Dave. In the factory side of things Ethan and Doug finished 1 and 2, both did well in windy conditions.

There are 3 additional records to be entered in the 2025 record book. As follows:

All 3 are Canadian International Records, shot by Hugh Williamson at the 2025 East-West Shootout June 28/29 in St. Louis.

HV100 Aggregate of .1490"
HV 100/200 Grand Aggregate of .1771"
2-Gun Aggregate of .2023"

Certificates will be printed and the Record Book will be updated.

Elmira Rod and Gun hosted the second shoot of the season for the ORSA group. The weather was beautiful all weekend long. We had 13 shooters in attendance looking to take home the "Alex Calder Cup" When the final shot was fired Peter Smith was the two gun winner, 2nd Bill Mitchell, and 3rd Brian Shoemaker.

Club Events / Mission 22 Rimfire Benchrest - Monthly Match - June 27, 2026

A thin summer crowd of 8 shooters showed up to compete for our fifth match of the season.  Conditions were much like last month with mild but switchy winds.           

Art took the Benchrest class, while Paul took Sporter.  No one shot in the Custom class at this match. 

Thanks to Paul K. for organizing the match and to Mel, Shawn and Gord for scoring.

Next match is July 18, our annual Bob Goehring Memorial Match - Hope to see a good crowd out!
