Elmira Rod and Gun Club hosted the Alex Calder Memorial this past weekend. Our numbers were down with the busy holiday season, but still an enjoyable shoot with lots of laughs. The weather on Saturday was warm, but an overdo rain came on Sunday morning and cooled things down for awhile.
When it was all said and done Peter Smith came out on top with a very respectable 2 gun agg of .2778.

Depending on numbers, we may go with one relay, so plan ahead for those normally sharing benches and equipment.

Here are the results of the August 10th benchrest score competition at the Maska Shooting Club.

As always, I would like to thank the Maska Shooting Club for their setup, the members, the volunteers, and Chef Yvan for the BBQ dinner.

The very hot and humid weather, but a fairly steady wind, are ideal conditions for mirage shooting.
It was a good competition with 19 participants. Six competitors achieved a 250/250.
Fran?ois Gauthier was unable to complete the match due to a breakage.
Congratulations to the 3 winners: Jean-Yves Perron (250 and 19 X), Ken Hope (250 and 16 X), and Serge Larouche (250 and 15 X).
