« Last post by BR SHOE on July 28, 2026, 12:46:08 PM »Hello All Coming up in Aug. 15/16 is our next shoot. We decided to hold our COOK YOUR OWN STEAK SUPPER on Saturday after done shooting. I also changed the shoot to the Robb MacLennan Memorial. Other than that nothing with the shoot changes. Any preregistration must be in by Aug.12.

I'm looking to get recommendations on the best rifle (budget $2000 - $2500) that meets the following criteria:
- Used mainly for long range target shooting (possibly competitive), but also can be used for hunting big game in Canada (deer, moose, elf, caribou).
- Accurate up to 500m - 800m
- Durable and reliable in all outdoor weather conditions
- Synthetic / composite stock
- Ammo and gun repair parts are regularly stocked and readily available in Canada
As well as the ideal ammo for sharpshooting and hunting for the rifle you recommend.

« Last post by WillyR on July 24, 2026, 04:12:38 PM »Week 2 at 100yds. Crazy good scores tonight, 8 cards handed in over 240 in unlimited, all winners! In Factory we only had 2 shooter on account of the heat, the 2 poor fellows that work outside all day bowed out as the heat here was stifling and they had worked in it all day. Wind was 10 to 15 km from 11:30 to 12:30, I thought the scores would be lower, some outstanding scores though. The photo is of the overall winners in the 50yd event.

-There will be a BBQ lunch provided by the club on the Saturday right after the LV 100. All are welcome.
-Practice days on Thursday and Friday.
-There will be (2) Relays. If you want to share a bench with someone in particular you need to let me know in advance, otherwise the computer will assign bench sharing during the bench draw.

21-23 Practice days
24-28 5 days of competition (100 and 200 meters)
The last day of competition will be 10 shots at 200 meters for the Walt Berger Legacy Trophy.
