We shot Group as a runup to the Alberta Provincials which is happening at Rosebud August 8 and 9.

While much of the country baked, we had cool weather and frequent downpours.  Otherwise, conditions were relatively mild with light winds for the most part.   

With Art away, Joe called the match while Vlad, Don and Trevor ran the targets.  Pete set up the targets and laid them out to dry when they were completed.  Allan collected our money.  Your humble scribe did the measuring, which required some artistic license with the damp and limp target paper...  Thanks to all who pitched in!

A good crowd of 18 shooters showed up to compete for our major event of the season.  We welcomed shooters from Vancouver Island and Alberta, as well as a good turnout from the local folks.   

Conditions were calm, although there were heavy showers through the first relay and into the second.  A number of great targets were shot. 

Paul took Benchrest class while Tim took Custom and his brother Derreck took Sporter. 

Thanks to Paul for organizing the match and for providing the excellent Venison Chilli lunch.  Scoring was handled by Shawn, Mike and Mel (may have forgotten someone) while Tammy did the sums.

A thin summer crowd of 8 shooters showed up to compete for our fifth match of the season.  Conditions were much like last month with mild but switchy winds.           

Art took the Benchrest class, while Paul took Sporter.  No one shot in the Custom class at this match.

With a few people away we ended up with a thin crowd of 8 shooters.  Fortunately, Richard Nicol made his usual journey from the USA, and it was great to see this long time friend and supporter of the match. 

Conditions were the usual variable spring fare, and became quite challenging as the day went on. 

The competition was very tight, including a three way tie for second place at 200.  We had to go to the target papers to resolve that one. 

With Joe away, Art called the line and organized and scored the targets.  Pete and Vlad ran the targets - Thanks to all who pitched in to help. 

Congratulations to Allan, who took the Grand Agg as well as the 100 and 200 yard distances.  Fine shooting in tough conditions!

13 shooters showed up to compete for our third match of the extended season.  Conditions were challenging, with switchy winds.         

Art Harder took the Benchrest class, while Chris Coard took Custom and Derreck Peters took Sporter.

We held this year's shoot in the usual Spring changeable weather conditions - You might say we had 3 sets of weather, one for practice and the 2 days of the shoot. 

We had 13 participants, which stretched beyond a single backer and into 2 relays. 

As usual, the scoring and target crews provided prompt and accurate service!

Thanks to all who participated, particularly our visitors from Vancouver Island and Alberta.  Also really cool to see Nobby in the thick of the competition.

We shot Group as a runup to our Spring Tuneup BRSC Registered shoot which is happening April 11 and 12. 

Seven hardy shooters were greeted by worsening conditions which began with drizzle and ended in downpour.  After a day to dry, the later targets were still damp - I had to switch from pencil to Sharpee as the targets got progressively wetter!

We welcomed Jordan Nassey to the match who managed a good showing for his first time out.  Nice to see a younger shooter, hope he makes it a habit!

Don showed us the way through the weather shooting consistently and winning both yardages.  Congrats!

Art called the match and organized the targets, along with Don, Jordan and Steve, who was visiting from the Island.  Thanks to all who pitched in!

Seven shooters gathered to shoot Score for our second match of the year.  Conditions were rainy at 100 yards, but with very little wind.  At 200, the rain began in earnest, but winds dropped to almost nothing.     

It was Denis' time to shine, taking the 100 and 200 yards as well as (obviously) the Grand.  His 106 target at 200 was very impressive!   

Pete prepped the targets while Art, Vlad and Don took care of running them.  Art called the match and did the scoring.  Thanks also to all who pitched in to help! 

Our next match falls on March 7, and we'll shoot Group as a prep for our BRSC Registered Spring Tuneup match in April.
