Club Events / Resultat for Rimfire match on may 3 at Maska rifle club
« Last post by M Ouellet on May 05, 2026, 02:20:29 PM »
Hello

I remain constantly grateful to the Maska Shooting Club, its members, and its volunteers; without their commitment, benchrest competition would not exist.
Ultimately, it was a day with pleasant temperatures but not really warm for May, and the wind caused the wind indicators to fluctuate from one side to the other.

For this second BR50 benchrest event, we had 15 participants. This is an improvement compared to the first competition, hoping to welcome about twenty competitors at the next event.

Congratulations to Guy C?t? for his 989 and 40 X.

ORSA held the first shoot of the season at Elmira rod and gun club.
We had 12 seasoned veterans and one new shooters in attendance. Issac Hao came prepared to meet the challenge in Elmira.
Mother nature was throwing a little bit of everything at us for the better part of the weekend.
After the snow showers ended, Brian Shoemaker end up with the 2-gun win, with Bill Mitchell a close 2nd.
Thank you to all the volunteers who made this possible.

Kitchen- Steve Horsnby, Dennis Spudic, Vasyl Onysko
Target crew- Steve Johnston, Doug Williams, John Rupnow, Bryden Schaefer.
Scorer- Jayson Waters.
RSO- Steve Johnston

Next shoot is scheduled for June 27-28.

Club Events / Resultat for the benchrest score 100 yards at Maska rifle club
« Last post by M Ouellet on April 30, 2026, 08:31:19 AM »
Hello

I still want to express my gratitude to the Maska Shooting Club, its members, and volunteers; without their contribution, there would be no benchrest competition.
Finally, a sunny day with a pleasant temperature.
For this second benchrest score match, we were 19 competitors.
Many people had problems with the mirage (SUN), as the wind made the wind indicators sway from side to side.
Only four shooters managed to achieve a perfect score of 250 out of 250.
Congratulations to Michel Langlois for his 250 and 15 X.

13 shooters showed up to compete for our third match of the extended season.  Conditions were challenging, with switchy winds.

Art Harder took the Benchrest class, while Chris Coard took Custom and Derreck Peters took Sporter.

Thanks to Paul K. for organizing the match and to Shawn, Gord and Paul H. for scoring.

Next match is May 23, hope to see a good crowd out.

Another thing I have to say: I have shot Benchrest, intermittently mind you, since 1976. In this fifty-year time span, the one constant has been the good nature of the people involved. In my experience, the shoots you will think of with regret, are those you chose to skip. I have a lot of regrets! Bill.
