Well, another Nationals is in the record books...

Weather was fair with moderate winds for the first day, but clouded over with lighter winds on the second.  The Mission terrain always poses its share of challenges.

Thanks to our target crew and to our scorer who provided prompt service.

Joe and Art shared the duties of calling the line while shooting the match as well.

Finally, thanks to all the shooters who pitched in to make the event a success.  It was always easy to find someone to lend a hand, even in the heat!

Also a special shout out to Nobby, who kept up with the proceedings and posted respectable results.  As Art said, may we all shoot as well at his age!

Nationals 2026 have been awarded to Selkirk, Manitoba, hope to see you all there!

And the results:

« Last post by BR SHOE on July 30, 2025, 12:35:13 PM »
Hello again everyone Once again a reminder of upcoming ORSA group shoot on the weekend of August 16/17.  As usual there are no great changes to our venue. Preregistration will be taken by me up until August 13th . As of now benches 2/3/4/5/6/7 are registered for. As most know Paul Connor and Jeff Doucette will be looking after the next 3 shoots . So your cooperation and help would be greatly appreciated . Both Paul and Jeff have done a outstanding job helping me running the shoots this year and last.
 Thanks to all
 Brian

Hello

Here are the results for the group benchrest competition on July 27, 2025, at the Sandhill Shooting Club.
As always, I would like to thank the Sandhill Shooting Club for their facility, Roberto Bacarolo for compiling the results, all the line officials, Chief Andr?, and everyone who made this day a success.
It was a warm and cloudy day.
We had 15 participants, which is good for the first group competition at the Sandhill Club, since many are currently on vacation.
Best group is 0.074 and winner with 0,1944 by Jean-Yves Perron with a 30BR
Several shooters used their rifles for score shooting for this match.

Elmira Rod and gun club hosted our 3rd event of the season. The rain held off for most of the weekend, while it was hot and humid.
Started things off Sat morning with the light guns at 100yds.
Peter Smith finished just ahead of Brian Shoemaker with a .2416 agg. After some hamburgers and hot dogs courtesy of Steve Hornsby, we continued with the HV's. Brian Shoemaker came out on top of this one with a .2306 agg with Peter Smith right behind. Kathy Brookes got in the mix taking 2 match stickers and the 100yd small group metal. I believe Kathy is now only 2 stickers behind Mark. Congrats Kathy!!
Sundays matches were dominated by Brian as he took 8 out of the 10,  and received the small group metal.
The 2 gun top 3 were Brian, Peter, and Bill Mitchell.
Thanks to the helpers on the weekend.
RSO- Paul Connor
Scorers- Paul, Alex Alves
Target- Mitchell Flatt, Tracey Lee, Steve Lee, and Mr. Hull
Kitchen- Chef Steve Hornsby !!
Also good luck to the Canadians heading to the IBS Nationals!
Next shoot is scheduled for Aug-16-17. Contact Brian to pre register.

Less than two weeks to the Nationals!  If you are planning on coming and haven't let us know, please email me (markdumont750@gmail.com) or Joe (joe mendham@telus.net) with your intentions...  Looks like a good turnout and should be a great weekend of shooting!
